Miles2Go Driving School – Health & Safety Rules for Driving Lessons
For your safety and to ensure effective learning, please read and follow the rules below. By booking a lesson, you agree to these terms.

Driving Licence Requirement

You must bring your valid driving licence to every lesson.

This is a legal requirement from the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA).

No licence = No lesson, and it will be marked as attended, with no rescheduling or refund.

Beginner Safety

For the first few lessons, students will practice basic steering and control on quiet or empty roads, as assessed by the driving instructor. This ensures safety and confidence before driving in busier areas.

One Lesson Per Week

Each student is allowed one lesson per week.

This allows time to practice and absorb skills before progressing to the next stage.

Cancellations

Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges.

Cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged in full, except for genuine emergencies (proof may be required).

No-Shows

If you do not attend your booked lesson, it will be marked as completed, charged in full, and cannot be rescheduled.

Delays & Buffer Time

Please allow a 15–20 minute buffer before and after your scheduled lesson.

Due to traffic or unforeseen delays, your instructor may arrive late. You will be informed if this happens.

If the delay cannot be accommodated the same day, the lesson will be rescheduled at no extra cost.

No refunds will be issued for delays caused by traffic or road conditions.

Miles2Go Driving School – Refund Policy
At Miles2Go Driving School, we are committed to delivering high-quality driving lessons and excellent customer service. Please read our refund and cancellation policy carefully before booking your lessons.
1. Student-Initiated Cancellations
24+ Hours Notice: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson are eligible for a full refund or can be rescheduled at no extra cost.
Less than 24 Hours: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the lesson are non-refundable, unless there are exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies with proof).
No-Shows: If a student fails to attend a lesson without prior notice, the lesson fee is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. It will be marked as a completed lesson.
2. Lesson Package Refunds
- For Afterpay or any other purchases, a $160 administration fee will be deducted, and the remaining balance will be refunded.
If you wish to discontinue a pre-paid lesson package, a partial refund may be issued based on the number of lessons remaining.
Lessons already taken will be charged at the regular single-lesson rate, not the discounted package rate.
Refund requests for packages must be made within 14 business days of purchase.
3. Instructor-Initiated Cancellations
If your instructor must cancel a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, vehicle issues, bad weather), you may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund for that lesson.
4. Processing Time
All refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method only.
5. Special Circumstances
We understand that emergencies happen. If you have a genuine emergency or extenuating circumstances, please contact us, and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis.
